Jessica Kalmar

Taking vision for granted could be numbing for all the senses. However, a photograph stops that sensation and suspends time requiring us to also stop and reflect on the senses lost. Perceptions may be deceptive and surreal; just like a photograph always blurring those lines between reality, idealism, and even déjà vu. All of my photographs are meant to challenge the viewer and ask questions of what is authentic and what is imitation, which must be different for everyone.
