Michael Novara’s Photo Essay “Under the Keystone: Steep Street Music Man” Featured on Public Source and WESA

Ninety year old  Joe Bonadio – a former pro-golfer and lifelong musician who learned to play the flute at age 79 –  lives in his family home on Canton Street, the steepest street in Pittsburgh and one of the steepest streets in the country.  Over the past few months,  AgWorks member Michael Novara captured Joe’s amazing story in the photo series “Steep Street Music Man.”

This month, Steep Street Music Man is featured as part of Public Source’s “Under the Keystone,” a series of photos and videos of Pennsylvania people aimed to help bring the state together and help readers understand what a variety of enthralling and disparate personalities live here. The series is currently on display at PublicSource.org, as well as on the website for 90.5 WESA,  Pittsburgh’s NPR News Station.
