Sanctuary
Panza Gallery
Show runs through October 19, 2013
AgWorks Member Ellen Bjerklie Hanna is one of the featured artists in the Pittsburgh Society of Artists current show Sanctuary.
A sanctuary, in its original meaning, is a sacred place, such as a shrine. By extension the term has come to be used for any place of safety. The show seeks to explore the meaning of sanctuary by allowing its members to express their own version of what sanctuary means through their art. The show’s juror is Patricia Bellan-Gillenis, the Dorothy L. Stubnitz Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Sanctuary runs through October 19, 2013.
